FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We have an admin fee of $150 for every club to be paid to PNUA at the commencement of the season. This fee allows us to provide coachingfor our umpires to improve, resulting in better quality and experienced umpires for your matches

We cannot guarantee that you won’t receive the same umpire throughout the season. We allocate our umpires according to location along with their skills and experience to control and umpire the designated team and level. With the amount of umpires that we do have in the pool however you will be allocated a variety of different umpires throughout the season.

We allocate our umpires to games according to their skills and experience, and also consider whether they will be accompanied by a coach or not. We believe the umpires that get allocated to particular grades and clubs will have the capacity to capably handle control the game.

We currently service the MPFNL which covers anywhere from Sorrento to Aspendale, and out to Crib Point and Deavon Meadows.

There is a travel fee that is given to our umpires as part of their game fee to compensate for the additional travel to further locations.

The match fee’s are currently $60 for all 60 minute games, which includes A,B and C grade. For D grade it is $50 due to the shorter game time. These fee’s have been designed to be competitive with what other leagues around us pay their umpires to ensure that we keep our umpires here, and continue to make the league stronger with a pool of quality umpires.

The Admin and Travel fee are paid directly to PNUA at the commencement of the season to secure your position for the year. PNUA will distribute these fee’s to our mentors and umpires as required.

Match payments are made directly to your club’s designated umpire for that game. Payments should be made in cash prior to the start of the game, or after the conclusion of the game. We recommend the umpire and netball president/court supervisor introduce themselves at the start of the game so they are familiar with each other, and are aware of who to make payment to.

All umpires have been given prior notice of your location, as well as the commencement time of the game. Unfortunately unforeseen circumstances may occur. In this instance where we are aware of it, we will be in touch with the club, contact you with information you have provided, and we will find a replacement and a solution. If you need to get in contact with us on a Saturday the best chance of somebody replying and getting back to you ASAP is by emailing pnuaumpire@gmail.com or contacting us through What’s App;  all committee members will receive a notification and be given a chance to respond. 

Due to our committee members being actively invloved in the league on a Saturday by both umpiring and coaching, we can’t guarantee that one person will pick up the phone straight away when you call.

The best option is to email pnuaumpire@gmail.com or contact us through What’s App, as all committee members will receive a notification and will then be given a chance to respond. This will increase the chances that somebody will get back to you ASAP.
